COVID-19 Safety Tips and Potential Concert Changes
While the world is still on the road to recovery, here are a few COVID 19 safety tips and potential changes to expect as concerts start to open up and the new Delta virus variant remains a potential threat.
-Fans will be required to show their vaccine card to prove they are fully vaccinated or get a negative result on a PRC test 48-72 hours before the a concert or entering a venue.
-Tickets and seating will be extremely limited and sell out fast. Many venues are only allowing half capacity or less, which means less people will get access into concerts.
-Fans and staff will be required to properly wear a mask over their mouth and nose the whole time they are at the venue.
-Wait times will be greatly increase for things like entry, food, bathrooms, drinks and leaving the show. People will not be allowed to group together when entering or exiting an event.
-Extra time for cleaning and sanitizing will be needed around the venue, such as the concession windows.
-Drinking fountains will likely be closed at events.
-Items that move or push air towards others such as hand powered fans and battery-operated fans might be band at events.
-Temperature checks at the door may take place.
-Seating patterns and changes can be expected. Many venues are looking at seating people in spaced out seats or in a chessboard pattern. You may also be placed in a “Fan Pod,” A small group of seats that is six feet from another fan pod group.
-For outdoor festivals, setting up rings for people to stand in that are properly social distanced away may be a change for the short-term future.
-There will also be increased signage promoting hand washing and indicating social distancing guidelines.
-A huge increase in Hand Sanitizer Stations for people to use while at the concert
-Fans can expect limited to no contact with the performer they are seeing.
-Some events may not even let you get out of your car and the events will be drive in only.
